I've been listening to a lot of metal recently. Listening to a lot of jazz records these days left me feeling like Dave Thomas on those 80's Wendy's commercials. Where's the beef? Where are the tunes here? You "cats" sure can play, but um, am I gonna be tested on this? Am I allowed to have my own independent thoughts and feelings on this or are you just showing me how hard you can blow? Then I stumbled upon the music of Finlayson and it just clicked. There are tunes here to sink your teeth into. This record might even cause you to have some feelings. I've been listening to this on repeat for the past week every day since the day I got it.
