The Boss - 'The Ballads'
"She sits on the porch of her Daddy's house
But all her pretty dreams are torn,
She stares off alone into the night
With the eyes of one who hates for just being born"

It’s 5 to 3 and close enough. It’s Friday. Nobody on the line gives a shit about Rusty anyway. That’s 2nd shift’s problems now.
Out in the lot, the weekend is hanging in the air. Glen’s on the back of his Chevy Silverado, he’s already started the weekend. Old Milwaukee pounders, Glen’s always been a classy guy and a helluva friend. That first beer tastes great as it mixes with Glen’s Camels. What’s the plan?
Sink a few in the parking lot, Rod on 2nd shift owes Glen a few bucks for the deer boloney from last week. Then it’s down to Bart’s Tavern, hopefully Tracy is working tonight. Tracy is a classy piece of tail.
Tracy.
Brings back memories of that ’77 Charger you had back in high school. It was a piece of shit but Glen and a six pack could always keep it going long enough to spot beaver at the mall parking lot.
Glen’s got his money and it’s going to be a good night. $2 Coors Lite and Tracy is indeed working. She makes sure your mug is always frosty and bends over just those few inches more just for you.
Glen fires up that Chevy V8 and it’s one more swig before that pounder is rattling around in the back with Glen’s sizable collection. .38 Special is on, and as the warm beer and the breeze in you hair ease you into the night, thoughts of Tracy come easy. Hold On Loosely indeed…
