i discovered this obscure shoegaze band listening to my library on shuffle. i have this shoegaze compilation that i never listen to because it is five discs long and i just don't care about shoegaze all that much. plus parts of it kinda reek of alternative rock. it's not a very well curated comp, in my opinion. then again, i'm not a die hard. anyway, i'm glad i kept the comp for rainy day listening. alison't halo stood out. it turns out that this band is so obscure that they didn't even manage to put out a full length in the 90s. but there is this comp or their music, which was recently reissued. i think it's pretty sweet. nice poppy jams for afternoons at home with the fam.

collections of b-sides often outshine albums. i revisited 'accumulation: none' recently and realized it's one of my favorite albums by (smog). i will say this record impresses me a lot more than the last couple full lengths.
